Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how LeasEase (Pty) Ltd uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the LeasEase website at leasease.co.za and in the LeasEase mobile application. We call both of these the Platform.
It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They are used to make a site work, to make it work better, and to give the site operator information about how the site is used.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. Where we refer to cookies in this policy, we mean all of these.
Declining is the default
Nothing non-essential loads until you agree. Analytics and similar cookies are off when you arrive. They are only set after you actively choose to allow them. If you ignore the banner, close it, or navigate away, that counts as a refusal and nothing extra is set.
- Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting. The Reject button sits next to the Accept button, in the same size and the same style. There is no hidden path and no extra click.
- We do not treat continued scrolling or browsing as consent.
- You may change or withdraw your choice at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving consent in the first place.
- At present, analytics on the Platform are switched off entirely. No analytics or session replay tooling is loaded while we finish wiring up consent management. This policy describes what will be used once that work is done and consent has been given.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off. Without them you cannot sign in and the site cannot keep you signed in.
Managing your choice
- On your first visit you will see a banner with three equally weighted options: Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Choose preferences.
- Your choice is stored for 12 months. After that we ask again.
- You can change your choice at any time at leasease.co.za/cookies/preferences.
- You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform will stop working.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Do Not Track header and the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends either one, we treat it as a refusal of all non-essential cookies and we do not show you the banner.
No advertising cookies
LeasEase does not use third party advertising or re-marketing cookies. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
Third party services
No third party analytics or session replay service is running on the Platform today. Each of the services below will only load after you consent, and each will be configured as set out here.
- Plausible Analytics: privacy first, aggregated measurement only, with no cookies that identify a person.
- Google Analytics 4: IP anonymisation enabled, Google signals disabled, no advertising features.
- Microsoft Clarity: session replay on a privacy by design configuration, with masking of personal information switched on.
We will confirm the exact cookie names and lifetimes in the table above before any of these go live.
Changes to this policy
We will publish an updated version with a new date at the top of the page. If a change is material, we will tell you by email and on the Platform.
